Coool pix.
Thanks to James and Mark for hosting us today - for catering so superbly and the warm welcome.
It was ace to see familiar faces and meet new folk, new acquaintances and friendships in the making I hope.
The laning was - well we got muddy and drove through some puddles. A couple of scratchy bits, but a bit of mud, a few ruts and views (on a clear day that is!!).; We had 4x50ths out laning in the Lakes in July 2006, and 5 today - a record surely? _________________ JB

A brilliant time was had by us too! Many thanks to James and Mark for the wonderful lunch and the tour.
Quite an event - so many 50th's, a chance to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones - and .... GB002 made an appearance - 400 yards (mostly on nice Axminster) posed beautifully for some pix then carefully back to bed - must have doubled the anual mileage!!
Thanks again.

A few lanes may be recognisable from bout 2:40 onwards... plus the view on a clear day later on from the Gibbet at 7:30 onwards.. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-wU3EMrYMjw
Have you decided what to do with your 1.2 trans box colin? I'm seriously thinking about putting a nice quiet 1.2 back in and fitting 4.1 ring and pinions.
I blame DAVET! _________________ JB

Chaps,
Top day all around. Many thanks to everyone for making it so enjoyable.
Thought I may as well add a couple more pics up
Incidently was that really snow we saw up on the top of the hills - in November !
See you all at the next one

Cheers James, I've kept them fairly low res to get them up on site, but there are higher res versions if anyone wants. Also quite a few others that, I guess, can just be classed as 'miscellaneous' and I haven't bothered posting those

^ Wot they all said!
Thanks James, great day out and thanks for the generous hospitality!
And thanks JB for the OR planning - was good to give my doosel it's first decent mud-bath (with me anyway).
I managed to take a few shakey pics of the off-roading from the back - if anyone wants them for posting? Nothing too dramatic, as every time I stopped to grab the camera, turn the flash off, I was being left behind! |
