Hello fellow 50th owners,
I need a new center and rear tail pipe exhaust section.
I cannot find any for sale specifically for the 50th V8 so am thinking maybe an exhaust from another Defender may fit?
I've done some research and had varying results so hopefully someone knows for sure?
Many thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben- the best solution I have fitted to a couple of 50ths including the one I have just restored is:

1) Devon 4x4 sport centre section (you will need to bend the one bracket back to meet the mounting- easily done) https://www.devon4x4.com/sports-silencer-for-defender-td5-90.html
2) Standard LR TD5 rear section- readily available normally cheap as people take them off for sports rear end

The best thing about this set up is it’s got a good balance between nice noise and not too loud when doing 70 down the motorway

I can send some pics of mine so you can see without body on

So essentially a standard 90 TD5 centre and rear section would fit? I have a spare one for my 90 Tomb Raider so could stick that on for the MOT?

Standard TD5 rear defo fits- the centre box off a TD5 may fit in theory, although I have never tried one- but from memory its a big lump and will quiet it down too much Crying or Very sad [/quote]
