SORRY THIS IS NOW SOLD.

1998 (S) Defender 90 50th Anniversary.
- 4.0 V8, Automatic.
- Plaque number GB331 - this is a UK supplied car.
- 77,000 miles with full service history through a main dealer and Land Rover independent.
- Waxoyled Chassis.
- Stainless steel exhaust.
- Aluminium steering guard (LR Accessory)
- Full mat set (LR Accessory)
- CD stereo with ipod input.
- Full set of 2007 model Genuine Defender seats (Modus/Span cloth) with new model forward facing rear seat and seat belts.
- Warn XD9000i Winch, Plasma rope, Stainless steel fairlead, Cover and Mantec Winch bumper (this is the same type as LR Accessory pack). This is all absolutely as new.
- Defender SVX '60th' Alloy wheels with 265/75 R16 Cooper Discoverer tyres. (Also available with the original 50th wheels and tyres - see below).
- Upgraded transfer box to 1.41 ratio (transforms performance).
- This car is in lovely condition and is always garaged - it's almost never seen rain (it won 'best coiler' at Billing 2008). Being open, there are a few small aluminium bubbles and a few minor 'dinks' on the body but overall, nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of a very tidy and clean Land Rover.
- I'm selling this with 12 months MOT and a new service; It's booked into the LR independent garage I use on Monday 2nd March for this work.
- I have stacks of receipts etc. and a workshop manual that goes with the vehicle.

Pictures below:

Bearing in mind the condition and specification (i.e. latest seats, wheels, winch etc. etc.) I think asking 10995 is more than fair, especially with the time and money spend on it over the last 3 years of ownership. I'm sure anyone that knows this car would agree.I am of course open to discussion.

Also, I'm happy to sell the car with the original 50th 'gunmetal grey' wheels and BF Goodrich tyres for 9995 (these tyres have a good amount of tread and the spare has never been on). Note - It's now on Autotrader with the orginal wheels. Pic below:

I have really enjoyed owning and driving this Land Rover, 50ths are great 'fun' vehicles.

SORRY THIS IS NOW SOLD.

Cheers, Greg.

Very sorry to see this Greg. Was hoping to see you at Dunsfold. Still?

Can I say to any potential buyer that you should snap this up. Personally I think it's worth more than the price Greg is asking - given its condition, ownership and forward-facing rear seats etc. If I'd have waited a few months I would have been on the train to his house by now! What are you all waiting for?

Very nice 50th Greg, and a sensible price.

I just hope you don't regret selling her.

did you swap the rear tub to a later one in order to use the latest type rear seats or modify the seat boxes?

Neither - As the 07 models have that 'swage' in the rear tub, I've used adaptor brackets especially made by Exmoor trim for the job (Jamie on this site has done the same with his.)

I've used genuine Land Rover complete seats (including the 'striker legs' to support the seats), LR seat belts, and trims around the mechanisms on the seat.

Hi Greg

Sorry you had to part with the 50th - hope you got a good price. Stay in touch and let us know how you get on with the 90 Puma. Post some pics of "Daddies new tractor" when you get it Laughing

A bit like Allan and Ads - I'll still be around!

As you know, rather that use my 50th everyday (after being kept dry for the last 3 years!), I've opted to sell her and replace her with a dugger diesel, so to let the 50th age more gracefully!

When I started looking, it was at a base Puma 90 station wagon (Steel wheels and no A/C). Well, long story short is that I've decided to take my chances, borrow some money, and after some protracted negotiation, I've managed to secure a 60th Station Wagon at an attractive price.

I've even managed to talk the wife around - I'll post a couple of pics once I get it.

So, I'll sign off from now on as 'Ex-GB331 but a hanger on, of you know what I mean.'
