FOR SALE
Land Rover Defender 50th GB 045
Although this land rover is no longer standard, the life of GB045 over the last 10 years and its modifications started from day it was received by its first owner. It started out as a standard 4 litre v8 and went on to be supercharged. If you have come across RPI engineering’s website you would have most probably read about why that wasn’t a great idea. The engine suffered problems with the rear cylinders which made the engine eat its self.
RPI Engineering then fitted one for their stage 4 4.8 litre engines with big valve heads, breathing through 45mm short stainless steel trumpets and benefiting from 1 5/8 tubular manifolds, to a stainless steel exhaust system,Mark Adams has upgraded the ecu To accommodate this extra power. A big brake kit was also added; a kit comprising of 311 x 30mm vented front discs and 309 x 22mm vented rear disc’s normally found on NASCAR race cars. Both the front and rear callipers are all of 4 piston design and do stop the land rover extremely well from high speeds. Overfinch have re-geared the transfer box for better drivability and added larger anti roll bars front and rear and dual steering dampers for better road holding..
The interior of the Land Rover has been updated to 2002 spec with the addition of new dash and centre switch panel, electric windows and central locking. To aid noise reduction dynamat has been used throughout the cabin allowing quieter, higher cruising speeds. The air conditioning was service this summer as works really well
Exterior remains as close to standard, with the exception of HID head lights, which significantly improves night driving. a chrome “A” bar with land rover spot lights is fitted at the front and the rear side windows have been replaced with 2005 model ones to stop the rattling at high speeds
As for the body work all the usual areas for corrosion have been treated and the land rover has no dents or scratches what so ever, never been off road,
In the last six months the Land rover has had 4 new BF Goodrich all terrain tyres new front and rear brake pads a set of red 8.5mm magnacore race leads and a new in tank fuel pump on top of its regular servicing. She has now covered just over 75000 miles but its very unlikely that any component as actually done this mileage, This is a reluctant sale and is worth every penny of £11995 ono with the time and effort spent on her, any trail welcome taxed and mot`d till 2009

I'm 99% certain this is sold now. I asked to see it last week but someone had pipped me to it, and David's not answering text messages, so I think this has gone. |
