Hi all, in a fix, the fuel pipes along chassis have corroded away and leaking seriously. Tried to order new pipes none available in UK or europe, has anybody else solved this problem and how

Similar issue a while back with oil pipes, we took the old ones off and took them to a place that manufactures hydraulic pips and they made up new ones for us using new metal and rubber pipes but reusing a couple of the connectors as they didn't have new ones.

The manufactures ones are still going strong.

I used these guys, many years ago, for some hydraulic hoses, so maybe of use to you.

thanks for the replies, have spoken to a man at Pirtek and they do specific petrol pipe, just needs to see the ends to try and marry up. May send Rovers North an email to see what their options are, I want it to look and work correct.

In the past, Iíve used standard copper/nickel tubing.
Itís available in the right sizes, is easy to bend neatly without special tools, doesnít work harden as much as copper, and you can re-use fittings or buy new from pirtek etc,.

Flares and hose ends can be created with a standard flaring kit.
Rubber pipes can be replaced with standard fuel hose and SS jubilee clips.
( paying attention to use fuel injection (high pressure) hose, not lower pressure carburettor fuel hose)

Itís a good idea to change all rubber pipes anyway, as they will be old and crunchy by now.
Also check the pipes from the fuel neck to the tank - and the evap pipes too - mine are absolutely fubar.
You can find identical dimension replacements from car builder solutions.com a lot cheaper than the LR part.

With some care, using the cupronickel pipe, you can produce a set of pipes that look OEM, apart from the copper pipe colour, which you can paint, cover in heat shrink tubing if you are really fussy, or just let it tarnish to muddy brown if you arenít bothered.

Do a bit of searching though, as some New Old Stock 50th parts are popping up in unusual places - go by the part numbers, and you might be surprised.

I'm bending towards Rovers North pipes myself as a solution.
Hope to get in contact re these and some other NAS parts that are only available in US. If anyone else is shipping, would be interested to join to reduce shipping costs.
Very Happy

Wow - over $700 for the feed and return in stainless is not cheap at all.
(Plus shipping, vat etc,.)

Iím sure you can find a decent fitter in the U.K. that can make and fit these lines for you from cupro nickel. Itís not a difficult job, just needs a bit of care to make it look good.

I would estimate the job at about £400 all done if I were to do it ( but Iím in Madeira, so thatís not so useful)

It might be worth trying an LPG fitter to see if they would do it.
They will have access to the tube and tools and should be able to make and fit the pipes for you.

But I have to admit, the stainless pipes would look good!
