As the digital display on my KM speedometer has just stopped displaying does anyone have an update on repairs since the 2010 thread discussion?
Are Cluster Repairs still the ‘go-to’ repairer or are new parts now available?
Thanks _________________ B Chisholm |

I had mine repaired at Cluster repairs last January but I've just noticed it has started flashing on and off again _________________ Cheers Ian

Mine's started to do that. How long do Cluster Repairs take to turn it around?
thanks

Thanks guys
The KM’s just reappeared this morning so I leave things as they are but it’s good to know where to send the head to when it finally gives up the ghost. _________________ B Chisholm |

I had the flickering digits on mine.
I used a really knowledgeable little firm near Rugby, Warwickshire - https://totaltronics.com
£80, turned around in two days, it would be same day turn around but he didn't have the correct ribbon cable in stock. _________________ Greg

Good to know there is somebody else out there that can fix them, I think mine is going to need doing again and I think I would try somewhere else this time. _________________ Cheers Ian

Flipping nightmare the previous owner had the odometer repaired by Cluster Repairs and I’m sure very competently but it stil comes and goes at whim!
Would love to ditch the speedo for something reliable but have yet to come across anything recommended as reliable. _________________ GB343 |

I had mine repaired by cluster repairs and it is failing again after a year and a bit so I think I will give Totaltronics a go next time. _________________ Cheers Ian

When my display failed on mine I bought an MPH speedo from a TD5, got it set to the correct mileage by an instrument repair place in Norwich and had my local independents fit it with a TD5 sender and the correct connectors. In total it cost just shy of £200, so more than the cost of a repair but less than a new speedo and it is a more permanent fix as the TD5 one doesn't seem to suffer the same problem.
There's a page online somewhere showing how to do the conversion with wiring guide, which is where I got the idea from and turns out it's not a big job at all. |

I don’t think Totaltronics was really know till Greg used them.
I would just say if it’s good enough for Greg then your onto a safe bet _________________ James
