Just wondering what we all do for security:

Standard LR Alarm?

Other Alarm?

Other immobiliser?

Tracker?

Steering wheel lock?

Pop off steering wheel?

Pedal lock?
Be interested to know if there is for an auto

Pin hex torq door screws?

TMD front door hinge plates?

Optimill or other (more secure) hinges?

Comments pointers much appreciated - trying to get as many (sensible layers) that I can on my vehicle once I get it back on the road. The North Yorks area becoming rather popular for Defender thefts Mad

I think you'll find these days that in most cases thieves just break into your house first to steal the keys; another favourite is to winch the car onto a truck and defeat the security later.

The issue with those two ways is that the majority of the defences you list are useless. A physical defence such as strong gate across your driveway and a well hidden battery shut off switch are likely to be more successful.

My local LR independent LR guy Bob Imms at Imberhorne 4x4 (East Grinstead) invented a clever bit of pedal lock - not sure if it catered for AUTO
