Has anyone replaced there fuel filter?
Don't know the age of mine, and the fittings look rusty.
I've not attempted to turn them yet - just sprayed with WD40, does anyone have any advice, I don't want to bust something and cause a leak or damage the rubber bits of the hose.
A video is here that explains how... but looks much tidier than mine.
http://www.roverparts.com/resources/videos/fuel-filter-replacement-defender-90/ (its American NAS version but close enough).
Anyone know the fuel hose part numbers if all goes badly? it will also mean a tank drop
So I'm reluctant to mess - but conscious the filter fill need a change one day |

well its been replaced - was a bit of a pig; plenty of plus-gass and steady and its now been replaced.
One of the unions had siezed to the pipe - couldn't free it without the whole piep turning in the crimped end -
but one was free so I could spin the filter off the siezed union and replace; may need to replace that pipe at some stage.
Those pipes are really expensive - anyone had them replaced - can they be made at a specialist for a fraction of the LR cost |

anyone having problems, this is definitely worth buying and keeping to one side
https://www.devon4x4.com/br-0272k-efi-fuel-filter-kit.html
Although I got mine done, one side is seized so this is bought to go into stock until one day its needed - or the rubber bits perish and my fuel consumption goes through the roof |

Good find.
I carry one in the truck that I found on ebay - they seemed to be elusive at the time.
Now it seems they aren't so will get one too. Thank you |
