|
|
Hi; I've been trying to fit a spare wheel carrier all day.
Eventually gave in. It was a "Britpart" item; however I found the dimension of the hinge end 15mm too short - even with maximum adjustment.
I've contacted the supplier to return; however could some one do me a favour;
Can you measure the distance from the top face of your rear cross member to the uppermost rivet (the one you drill out for the top wheel mount bracket) ie the one on the capping just below the roof / tub seal. (ther are two abut 2 inches apart. (these are both drilled out)
I'll measure mine to see if its similar.
All gaps between body work and rear cross member look standard to me.
Thanks

John Craddock Ltd - supplier have checked there stock and having done there own checks (holding up against the vehicle) confirmed my problems.
They are taking it back and replacing with a Safari unit.
