I just realised I haven't updated the post with pics! Simon is indeed living up to his reputation for detail with GB 165 with a very comprehensive parts list!
165 is stripped and is being prept for paint! _________________ im allways in the muck... its just the depth that differs..

Has your 50th got huge spacers on the hubs or does it look that wide because the arch-extensions have been removed ? |

Both! it is on spacers, i have a recipt for them from overfinch when the quick rack was installed. They are not silly big but make all the difference to both the road holding and the stance by filling all of the arch. _________________ im allways in the muck... its just the depth that differs..

Yep, all you have to do is take the old glass out of the metal carriage that holds it in ( three screws ) and the plug is a standard H4 so theres no messing about with looms etc. it is a simple plug and play and they are incredibly bright!
whats more they were an Ebay purchase and I have seen the same lights for around £200 quid on there, I kind of wish id got the daylight running versions but I am more than happy with the ones I have. _________________ im allways in the muck... its just the depth that differs..

Jim your 50th is going to look amazing .
All of your metal work is now back from the Shotblasters near peters in Pease pottage .
One day peters metal work will go there when I restore his 50th
Your 50th Jim is a brilliant example , it has a powerful engine , good chassis and will be the most recently restored 50th in the WORLD ( there are some bragging rights there ) _________________ Old owner of restored GB 063 .
