Hi All,

Need to replace a faulty aircon dryer and see that Land Rover have changed the part from the old STC3973 to the newer STC4851. The old pressure switch doesn't fit the threads.. so Land Rover specify the newer 8510066.

But then the threads don't fit the rest of the hoses etc. Does anyone know if there are any hose adaptors available?

Or does anyone have any wisdom about how to solve all this?

Cheers, Nick

Hi, fitted the following to the AC on my vehicle:
STC4262 TX Valve
STC4851 Rcvr/Drier
8510066 Trinary Switch
The new switch has the thread pattern to suit the Rcvr/Drier but will require rewiring with new connections as plug differs from old unit, but not a problem.
Existing pipe work fitted the Rcvr/Drier but retaining bracket had to be shortened to suit. Gas quantity listed on under bonnet decal differed from amount removed and added to satisfy system, 880grams.
Hope this helps

The existing pipes worked for my new part number dryer and pressure switch. I also has to rewire the plug for the switch.
