Congratulations Richard she's an absolute beauty...
I have always liked the Heritage models and especially the green leather seats.

Just being naturally devious helps...
Find any image you want to link to and right click it and select properties. In the properties box highlight the location name and right click and copy it. This is different from the web page address especially with things like webshots. You know if you have the right address as it will end with jpg or similar.
Then just post as usual... with the Img HTML tag.
Easy as falling off a yule log... |

Very nice Richard.
I do like the heritage.
There is a nice one featured in the October 04 LR Enthusiast. A guy called Nick who made his imaculate, had it resprayed to be perfect, added a roll cage and twin snorkless in the grey, looks fantastic.
Happy motoring

It is a nice vehicle, just a few little bits to sort out;
Rattly rear (load area) window
12N socket is totally kaput & useless
Got to find a storage solution for under the middle-row seating for all my tackle (straps, jump-leads, tools ,etc...)
I'd like to junk the side-runners & put 'proper' (individual folding)Landie steps on it, but SWMBO says "No!!!"
S'funny the insurers want a 'Letter Of Non-Intent' stating that I will not be using to in a 'Hire & Reward' capacity, as officially it's a mini-bus (between 9 & 16 seats)
They also want me to replace (what to me) is a perfactly good factory fitted alarm/immobiliser with another 'approved' version |

You won't see many about, as I understand that only 270 were built (even less than the 90-50th )
Simmonites have a 90 'heritage' in Sage Green (as does Buxton 4x4)
There's one in Wetherby (not the one I now own)
Hopefully tomorrow (orThursday) I'll be off to the DVLA office in Leeds to try & transfer my S50 RAT plate onto it.
So it'll be even easier to spot |

They all do that sir...
I understand that Land Rover released an updated window surround to counter that problem. However, given the young age of your new Landy I would have thought it would have them.
Does any one else know..? |

There is a simple cure for rattling rear sliding windows. Apply a thin strip approx 5mm - of black self adhesive fluffy velcro to the glass - you may need to do it on both sides depending how much of the oriiginal seal in the channel has rotted or worn away. You can either do the complete length or just a tab at the bottom or top - either way it looks neat. You can buy velcro from most fabric shops.

It's on the dealers forecourt. I saw it when I took the documentation back from the plate exchange
Silkstone 4x4
It looked so good that I almost wanted to bring it back home with me.
The Discovery is now officially S296 JVN, if anyone sees it around the West/South Yorkshire/Derbyshire area
Oh & I took the first few shots of the 110 on local lanes near the supplying dealer.
It seems I'm not the only one who's seen it |
