You just can't be serious.
They have got to be, and look it, cheap fake copies, albeit with a stamped GB number, hardly rocket science
How would a spare ordered set from LR Solihull 1998 end up in US looking so pristine in 2012 ? and not just one ..
My mate Dave - metal fabricator, can, on order if he fancies taking such a job on, for the right price, run you up a set of GB001 to GB 385, or is it 386 ? _________________ Peter

It sure is suspicious to say the least .
They are rare as rocking horse ...... And this chap has 2sets ?
If James had 2 sets I'd believe it but this does seem a little far fetched .
I agree with Peter the wrapping it far to neat and tidy for say 14+ year old wrapping . _________________ Old owner of restored GB 063 .

James, I see you have been sniffing and askings Qs
Is that you bidding ?
I reckon the US guys came to UK for a holiday + motor jumble, found and bought some fakes from a UK guy, took them back to US, and now trying to sell to other UK guys
Nice work if you can get it.
For me - I'm out _________________ Peter

I agree with James on the exterior plaque ,if they have a laquer finish they could be a repro as i have yet to find an original plaque with a laquer finish .
It's just strange that they have the GB number on them ? |

Correct, a 50th was stolen, Bristol area, as I recall it was never traced but the idiot thief placed the rear tub plaque on Ebay, along with the GB No in full digi
Give me a minute, it will come to me, some confusion between GB 015 and GB 017, with the owner not remembering his actual number
We all agreed not to bid, and the owner bought it, and then with the toerag
identified as seller, sent the Police in, to be told the wife had accidentely chucked it out with the rubbish
Not sure what happened after that _________________ Peter

Found it :
Quote :
Its official that im the biggest idiot going. After the mentioning of the badge on Ebay i got straight to it to have a look. After finding out that the location of this badge is in the same place mine was stolen it began to eat away in my head. Was my 50LE number 0017?. After digging out the centre console and examining the little plaque a big lump appeared in my throat. All this time i ve thought that it was 0017 its actually been 0015. The badge on Ebay is mine. I have informed the police, but what else do i do? HELP!!!!!!!!
Dominic (actually 0015)
