Hi Everyone,

A reluctant sale of a much loved 50th Anniversary (GB276) with too many extra's to fully list. The vehicle comes with a full service history, the workshop manual and electronic circuit diagrams. I have owned the car since May 2006 and on purchase spent in excess of 4k in updating it.

This is our pride and joy and cost has not been a consideration.

To list a few extra's:

New Superwinch EP9.0 with Dyneema-bow rope fitted

Upgraded dashboard

Second Battery fitted with switch to swap charging and allow as backup

Electric Windows

Central Locking

Satellite Navigation

Thatcham 1 alarm

BF Goodrich tyres

Car has been undersealed

A roof rack is included in the sale, as is the original front bumper with twin spotlights (this had to be removed to allow the fitting of the winch)

the list goes on...

Also the vehicle has air conditioning, but as I am aware all 50th Anniversary Defenders had this as standard.

There have been no modifications to the engine other than a Kenlowe Fan. The body and paintwork is in very good condition.

The vehicle has covered 67,000 miles and since I have owned it I have never had any problems, no oil loss, and done regular services as expected. (All paperwork available).

If you would like a full itinerary and photographs or are interested and just want to have a chat about it please email me at ahornsby55@hotmail.com.

UPDATE: Pics added 27/10/10

This is a very nice 50th. Did you have the centre console custom made or can it be bought to fit. If you had it custom made can you let me know who did the work for you. I presume they did the wiring re-routing etc.

Many thanks

Duncan

Hi Duncan,

The centre console can actually be bought as it is an 'updated' version of the defender interior, but to fit it we had it professionally installed as the wiring was Very complicated and we had additional 'add-ons' i.e. heated front windscreen, electric windows and battery dials which made the task even more complex. The company I used was Complete Car Solutions based in Attleborough Area in Norfolk and the man you need to talk to is Craig. He is very helpful and can tackle anything asked of him.

If you would like to know where I bought the dash from and the price then let me know.

Hope that has helped.

Alex

Alex, Many thanks for your response. Sorry I've taken so long to get back to you (managed to escape to warmer climes for Christmas). Will follow up on this. Standard 50th switch layout and set up is a bit of a mis-match.

Thanks Again

Duncan

Hi Duncan,

No problem, lucky for some to get away from the random snow that keeps coming and going. If you would like any more pictures of the console setup I have on the Defender for installation or idea purposes just let me know.

Regards

Alex

Hi Everyone ,

GB276 had been sold! Even though it will be very sad to see her go, she's going to a good home. Many thanks to all that helped.

Hi Duncan

I fitted the Td5 dash to mine see http://defender50th.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=732&highlight=

more pictures on photobucket http://s269.photobucket.com/albums/jj43/Penhallow/G8MUD%20build%20photos/

Depending on what you add (switch wise) its not for the faint hearted ! I added electric windows, heated seats, heated windscreen, relocated the rear wash, wipe control, rear fog, and hazards and front spots. Created a temp display with in/out switch, rear camera linked to reverse with over-ride and electric aerial with over-ride.

As the switches are low amp rated relays are needed for most actions along with fuses so a second fuse box is located under the passenger seat.

Most parts were sourced off ebay including a Td5 front wiring loom as it is almost impossible to buy the plugs that attach to the Land Rover switches. The wiring fuse box etc were either from Vehicle Wiring Products or CPC.

Hope this is off interest if you want any further info happy to help - or indeed if you are in West Yorks pm me and you are welcome to have a look at mine and the file I have with the wiring diagrams etc !
