Hi All,
I need a new tank guard. Many years ago I used MIB but they and the subsequent company they turned into are no longer trading.
I've looked on the YRM website and cant find one on there although after searching the forum I can see some of the folks on the forum have purchased from them.
So.. does anyone have a link to a YRM one ? Or anywhere I could get one from ?
So - I'll provide an answer as I found it on the YRM Website -

All in with VAT and Postage it £202.00. Just ordered it and as its in stock should be with me on Thursday.
Time to get the penetrating fluid/heat torch out... those bolts holding the old one in place look like they are going to be a challenge.

Its just arrived this morning - well packaged and arrived when they said it would.
Very impressed with the build quality as others have said. Not sure wether to powder coat it or Hammerite/Waxoyl yet.

Thanks Simon - After reading some reviews on there FB site ...I'd probably give them a miss. YRM delivered next day and the quality of the guard is superb.

In fairness I used RCP for a new 50th crossmember on my 50th and I was very happy with the work they did fitting it. |

Can anyone tell me how the fuel tank is held in place ? I'm removing my Tank Guard at the moment (lots of snapped bolts so drilling them out) and it seems to be 'resting' on it a little to much for my liking.
I would've hoped its secured by a couple of straps between the chassis ?
Can anyone advise ?

i think the guard holds the tank in, and that's it. no straps.
You'll need to support the whole lot or risk straining the fuel pipes |

Thanks - time to be careful. The tank is on vapours so not heavy but I'll try and drop it down.
