It certainly looks like a 50th that's been used and enjoyed by its former owners as I think they should be; despite being a little tatty though I think it's priced in the right ball park.
It is prime for a restoration and with a £10k-15k budget that one could be brought back to being a great 50th with a total outlay the right side of what restored GB badged 50ths are changing hands for today or could form the basis of an individual/ customized 50th without 'spoiling' an original one.
Sourcing an original 50th centre console however won't be easy, I suspect i'm not the only one with a spare one stored away 'just in case' but getting someone to part with one will be hard, the Ashcroft one is well made, but is a little different to the original.
The question will be whether someone who is in the market for a 50th sees the value in buying and restoring vs. buying one of the other ones available right now that don't need a restoration.
Rather than modify my very clean/ original 50th I bought a slightly tatty 50th last year and have almost finished tailoring it to my personal taste, so I do see the value in buying one like this, but if you're looking for the original look I think there are better 50ths out there. |

Yes it does, not been taxed since the beginning of the year however looks like a farm.
I agree, a good one to start and make your own with. However if i were in a position to buy it, i would like to use it as it is, get to know it. then probably start the revamp!
I probably need to buy a house first however a 50th is more appealing! _________________ 2015 - 90 SW XS
