|
|
All:
I live in the USA & drive an '85 Ninety V8 Station Wagon. One of the tabs on the binnacle is broken, so I bougt a used binnacle online. The sticker on the back says it came from a 50th anniversary vehicle. There's another hand written sticker with a name & a date in 1998.
Turns out I'm going to swap the dash for a Puma one when I restore the vehicle, so I don't need the binnacle. I can easily sell it here, but I have several questions;
1) is it a real 50th Anniversary binnacle? ( I can't see an option to add photos. If you have a 50th binnacle, post a pic & I'll tell you if it's the same.
2) if so, what's it worth?
I'm actually a Brit so I have family in the UK. I can send it over if anyone wants to buy it.
Thanks,
Paul. |

if it has lamps for the heater and fans; but still has the old (pre TD5) warning lamp panel then its likely to be 50th.
Also if where the lamp fits these are white; again likely to be 50th.
There should also be a hole for the alarm LED.
The TD5 ones are similar apart from they have the new warning light panel.
From a 50th point of view I'm sure people on here would be interested; value wise i've seen similar ones on eBay (not 50th) sell for £30 - £100 depending on condition. (that's without any gauges or warning light panel.)
If it was a complete binnacle with Speedo etc.; then even £250+ would be possible; as they the gauges etc. and whole assembly was 50th only. |

I has the led light in the middle, with a wire & connector.
It's been repaired but the tabs are good.
How many posts do I need before I can post photos? |

The site doesn't have its own photo functionality. You have to provide a link to the photo saved on a public server. (some don't show anymore)
However if you contact James (site admin) he can host the photos on his server and send you the link to make them display |

I use Photobucket but it doesn't allow links any more. Must make classifieds tricky? If anyone wants photos, PM me your email address. I'd like to sell this thing since I have no use for it. |
