This evening was spent trimming and fitting one of those eBay "Italian Leather" steering wheel cover kits, and I have to say I'm well chuffed. Can highly recommend; it is genuine leather (at least the smell is!) and I specified the colour and the actual defender wheel type and was assured it was made to measure; for £20 delivered can't fault it. (did take me a few hours to do!)

Although I already have a black leather wheel on the 50th due to the original being removed back when Nene put a smaller sporty one on; the original was well gone - and rocking horse shit isn't easy to find...

I've always been keen on getting the "look" back... and when a 36 spline wheel appeared on eBay for £25 delivered I thought I'd give it a go - not original but close enough for me and the satisfaction for getting a bargain and learning a new skill.

Anyone who has a worn wheel or damaged leather - this really is a perfect solution; the wheel I bought off eBay was well worn where the rubber texture gets years of use - but you wouldn't know now Very Happy

i went with light grey - just the standard one they listed.

They only did dark and light grey. Its not identical to the original as it has the leather grain.

I emailed and asked for the Defender version in light grey.
