Best place for pics is on my FB page.
@paradiseengineeringmadeira

The galv Richards chassis has been t-washed, etch primed and painted with epoxy mastic.

It's a bit rougher/more textured finish than I'd like - looks a little like the old bitumen paint that never sets, but by heck its strong stuff - it's "bounce hammer" hard! I'll gladly sacrifice a bit of chassis shine for durability.

Rear crossmember was spray painted gloss black - it's too shiny - so I'll rub it down and spray it Matt black.

The vehicle dismantling progresses well - with over 2kg of old audio kit and wiring removed, it's looking a lot neater behind the dash.

So far no really nasty rusted bolts, but is suppose that will change when I get to the undersides...

For your rear cross member suggest you use 'Chassis In One' from Buzzweld. It leaves a perfect matt finish as when new. it comes in a spray can and dries quickly too.

Thanks for that.
I'll see if I can get some sent out.
Unfortunately, aerosols can't be flown in, so it will have to come by land...
