|

It's part number time!
The engine mounts on mine are shagged, so new ones are needed...
Anyone done their engine and trans mounts - what did you fit and were there any problems? I put cheap britpart mounts on my RRC and it always seemed rough and harsh afterward, so I'd like to make sure I get the right bits...
I think I've tracked down the part numbers for the engine and trans mounts from rovers north in the US.
Engine:-
ANR2803 - some websites suggest STC434 as an alternative,
ANR2804 - supersedes to KKB103120
Transmission
ANR2805 (2 off) - also supersedes to KKB103120
I'm a bit puzzled - I'm guessing that these three part numbers ANR2803/4/5 are actually slightly different parts - even though they all look the same ( otherwise, LR would have used one part number). How come ANR2804&5 supersede to one part number?
Anyone know the low down on these? _________________ Proprietor of Paradise Engineering in Madeira.

These changes are usually because there's been a change in component in the part or a new supplier . |

Generally, a new supplier wouldn't drive a change in part number - if it's the same part, and is interchangeable, then why change the part number.
I'm just wondering why two different part numbers supersede to one part number.
LR obviously wanted two different parts, as they have two different part numbers. I'm just curious how they can be superceded by one part... _________________ Proprietor of Paradise Engineering in Madeira.
