Hi folks
Gertie's (GB236) Cat Convertor matrix is rattling like a tin of nails, so I'm going to treat her to a new rear section of the exhaust. I'm not going to replace the headers as I'm not after a performance boost.
Rimmers have two choices in Stainless Steel:

A few forum members have bought the SUV version (which has less baffling) but some complain it's a bit too loud. Has anyone tried the more expensive one? I assume this is quieter, but otherwise functionally the same?

Thanks
rob

You will need this
http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-LR1126SS
Or this depending on noise preference, the top one is not so loud but the bottom one releases a fantastic note with burbles and farts, some say its to noisey oblong drives but I don't mind, Buy the fitting kit also. The kit below requires a small change to the hanger on the straight pipe which is easily done with a grinder and welder

And this if you want new cats

Thanks Maver1ck. That looks good, But couldn't see is they did the Cats. Are they compatible with the cats on Rimmer Bros site (see post above)?

If I replace the Cats with this, do I need to replace the section behind the cats? or is it compatible with the rest of the LR exhaust?

thanks

Don't know anything about Rimmer Bros exhausts. My garage checked my exhaust and they said middle box needed replacing. Best to leave cats alone if they are OK. I gave them a photo of the Famous Four exhaust and they were confident they could make it fit. They did. It sounds nice but restrained.

It's the cats that need replacing - they're rattling as the matrix has broken down.

No it will fit on but you may find that corrosion has taken and you won't get a clean fit and it will blow, my advice would be buy one of the rear options above depending on noise preference and that's you sorted for another 15 years
