its v high for a non restored 50 even though it is super shiny.. but bare in mind the prices ARE rocketing, and having just seen a 2013 110 csw with 25000 miles sat on a forecourt for £34000!! I think they may have reduced it too quickly! _________________ im allways in the muck... its just the depth that differs..

Motordrome just can't shift this motor - Overfinch
Price reduced again - now £ 29,995
That's a whole £ 10,000 drop from where they started _________________ Peter

The last ill- judged and frankly ignorant comments were bought to my attention by a prospective buyer, who has subsequently pulled out of the deal citing 'so and so says its tired' as the reason.
Whatever else users of this forum say about Motodrome (and if you run a search there is one particularly prolific user who, despite never having met me or done business with me, seems to delight in disparaging everything I do. However, he can't even spell Motodrome correctly), I do at least strive to appraise our vehicles accurately.
Quite a few of the 50th's owned by forum members have at one point or another passed through my hands, hence it could be argued I have good experience of them.
GB259 is a fine example & is about as far as it can get from being 'tired' as alleged, without the benefit of having been ripped apart and totally rebuilt. Yes, I'm aware there have been several non-original 'extras' added by the last owner, but these are easily reversible, and we've made clear on our website that we can do that.
It seems to me that what can be a very valuable resource for 50th owners is often used by individuals that haven't taken their bravery pills, and hide behind language on social media that they wouldn't dream of making in a 1 on 1 situation. |

Get over it some people have have people to seek out stuff they don't have to see it themselves (we the people with money)
These buyers are trusted people on commission to find the right vehicle my buyer found me the one I wanted I brought it simples just was not yours
As for 19inch force field trust me I dont need one
Clearly a fine example as its shifted quick (not) not sure how easy it is to replace the interior, door cards etc etc Sure Simon could advise
OH your attitude cost you a sale that I was very interested in |

Among the self-aggrandising in your post of 14/7 (we, the people with money etc) you've entirely missed my point, so I'll make it again, but more succinctly.
I have no issue whatsoever with professional buyers acting on a client's behalf, per se.
I have no issue whatsoever with the fact that GB259 wasn't for you, and I'm pleased that you've obviously found the one that is. My 'attitude' has nothing to do with it; you bought a 50th that better suited your requirements. That's all there is to it.
What I have a serious issue with is the word 'tired', attributed by you to GB259 in this thread. Your comments have cost at least 1 potential sale to my knowledge, probably more, and are utterly inexcusable.
It seems the maxim 'money doesn't buy class' has rarely been truer. |

Surely any "Sale" that could be described as having "Potential" will have involved the prospect or their representative having viewed said Defender. That being the case its condition would speak for itself and any half competent sales person should be able to deal with inaccurate commentary by any keyboard warrior by simply running through the Defender with the prospect showing its actual condition. If the prospect walked away then either the Defender isn't good enough for them or the prospect wasn't serious in the first place.
The internet commentators are often an irritation any business owner could do without, but what they post is nothing any decent sales staff can't overcome with a good product behind them.
I've not met you, seen your pitch or the vehicles you sell, but your defensive attitude doesn't come over well here. If Ken is spouting rubbish, let your products and service speak for itself, we'll soon figure him out as a fool. If what he says has some merit maybe reflect on how to improve........
Either way I don't think your exchanges are helping your case. |
