I have a performance ITG air filter set up and want to change back to standard, does anyone have a spare filter can and mounting brackets etc. for sale? |

I don't - but am interested to know what you don't like with that set-up, as I have considered air intake mods...?
I just have a standard box with K&N at the mo. |

Interesting, I did not know that you could get a K&N filter, is this one that sits inside the air can, or is it a total replacement item.
Th eproblem with the ITG is that it is a zero restriction filter, great big round black thing that clips onto the air flow meter. As you know this sits just under the windshield and when you put your foot down the induction roar has to be experienced to be believed, good fun for 10 miles, but very tiring after 100 miles.

Yeah you can get K+N Filter for inside the standard 50th air can.
I will find the box tomozo and let you know the part number.
Best regards

It's a straight swap with the original parts filter - as James says.
Are you sure most of the noise is from the induction, rather than from the viscous fan? (Assuming you have one).
I only say because mine makes a right roaring noise that is especially loud if you have the front vents open, it increases/decreases with engine speed, but gets loader when you are travelling slowly, or stuck in traffic - and I assume this is the viscous fan engaging as the engine heats...
Just a thought, in case you spend the money and find there is little improvement...
I am going to try some under-bonnet sound proofing when I get round to it, see if that helps generally.
Anybody done this yet?
Adam. |

Fair point - if you could hear it over the fan/air intake!!
Maybe a quiet engine bay and a big exhaust is the solution to that. |

Anyone know where you can get an ITG induction kit from as it's about to be added to the end of an already very long shopping list for Katy... |

If you go done the 57i route you will need the extension peice for the 70 to 90mm adaptor!
turn the adaptor round and shift the steel collar so that it fits the SN50057 K&N filter correctly.
Drill a 1/4 inch hole in the center of it to mount the temp sensor.
jobs a good un!
sounds the dogs bollocks if you ask me!
looks the bizz too.
