If anyone with one of the very few V-registered 50ths fancies the Registration V85 OTH, it's for sale on the DVLA's timed auction (their version of ebay) for the next 8 days.

I have never understood why the government just doesn't allow you to have absolutely any registration as long as it's decent. They could make a fortune as those with short company names would climb over each other for them at an auction. It's just another example of government failing to see that they could raise even more money. Instead you get people trying to make them up using an 'A' as a '4' and vice versa - and bunching the digits together so that they attract police attention! Just let us have whatever we want, for crying out loud.

I hate the DVLA! If you have ever had dealings with the Land Registry, you'd see how government departments can be poles apart. The Land Registry are a delight to deal with.
