For anyone else following, try akspeedo.com (no affiliation) they sell a pre-bonded lcd/ ribbon cable for 20 quid. Just did mine - worked immediately... let's see how long it lasts

Is it a genuine MAF? After I cleaned mine the revs ran to 2000 odd, until i reset adaptive values and all back to normal...You prob need to do that... ideally find someone with a Nanocom, or similar, ...

Ok, good news. After the reset of adaptive values you will need to do 50-100 miles on a full tank for the ECM to re-learn.. After that, if it's still working ok, then you should be good
